Spatial patterns of tropical seamless coast using spaceborne camera

Moorea, Society Archipelago, French Polynesia

During my first postdoctoral fellowship (CNRS, French Polynesia), I modeled spatial patterns of coral reef biodiversity associated with seamless coastal habitats and improved the retrieval of the seabed complexity using very high resolution satellite images (3 publications in Remote Sensing).

I also included the societal component in (1) helping delineate lagoon areas to be protected in an atoll, and (2) identifying the relationships between the watershed management (agricultural and urban practices) on the health of the fringing coral reef in a volcanic

island.
